C:\windows\system32\wbem\wmipr... <<< WTF!!!?

Hey every1 i keep getting a unfriendly little pop up saying "


Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Libary"


"Runtime Error!"


"Program C:\windows\system32\wbem\wmiprvse.exe"





"This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more infomation."





Once i click ok it pops up agian abut 3 secconds later. It also prevents me from opening Spyboy Search and Destroy =/





Any help or good links please post them

wmiprvse.exe is a virus, spyware, trojan or worm!


Find and Delete the file manually. (ALT+CTRL+DELETE)


It could be infected and the best way to stop it from spreading onto other files is to delete it. Run an antivirus program afterwards.
Reply:It isnt't true, that wmiprvse is always a worm.

If you aren't sure if it is a worm or not, i would check your pc with some kind of antivirus software or better a spybot (if search and destroy doesn't work, maybe another one).





But in your case, it really sounds like a kind of worm... But please try out other software first, before deleting files without really knowing if they are needed or not.
