Visual C++ ?

I have a book that is based on visual C++ 2003 (version 7.1).

If i download and install visual c++ 2008 edition from Microsoft, can i still be taught by that books while using the newer version of visual c++ or are there some core differences between the options and GUI ?

Visual C++ ?
yes you can. they have almost the same user interface so you dont have to worry. they basically have the same function and does the same. the 2008 version has more function to make programming simpler. it will help you along the way and the book will be fine.
Reply:yes, of course... the most important thing is you know the concept of programming... i guess, both versions already support IntelliSense, so you need not to worry forgetting, searching the proglang's built in functionalities...
